About Dr. Belill

Dr. Nicholas Belill has been a Doctor of Optometry since 2004. He

earned a Bachelor Degree in Chemistry With Honors from Hope College in

2000. Later, he graduated as valedictorian from Michigan College of

Optometry at Ferris State University in 2004. During his final year of

schooling, Dr. Belill earned experience through student internships at

Aleda Lutz Veterans Hospital, Anderson Eye Associates, Rosenbaum

Eye and Laser Center, Avery Vision Center, and MSU Neurology-

Ophthalmology Clinic. After graduation, he worked at Pearle Vision before


opening his own practice in 2006.

Dr. Belill is an active member of the Michigan and American Optometric

Associations, MOA Children's Vision committee, Orthokeratology Academy

of America, and American Sports Vision Association. Previously, Dr. Belill

has been an adjunct clinical faculty member and guest speaker at the

Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University. In 2013, he

accepted an invitation to join the first ever Michigan College of

Optometry Advisory Board. In addition he has also been a guest

speaker at the Illinois College of Optometry and has been featured in

multiple national optometric practice management publications. The

success of his practice motivated numerous of his old classmates to open

their own offices across the country, including in Michigan, Texas, and

Alabama.

Dr. Belill is eager to learn new developments in the world of optometry

and regularly attends continuing education events and conferences. His

speciality areas of interest include Sports Eye Injury Prevention, Parental

Education about Children's Vision and Diabetes Eye Education.

Dr. Belill was born and raised in Clio, Michigan. He attended Garner

Elementary, Carter Middle School, and Luke M. Powers Catholic High

School. He is a Clio Chamber of Commerce member, has pride in Clio, and

is excited about the growth and expansion of the community. He is

actively involved with his Church. He and his wife Becky have three

children: Samuel, Kathryn, and Hannah.

Office Staff

Felicia has the most seniority out of the entire staff, having worked

for Belill Eye Care since 2008. She brings over 15 years of eye

care experience and a joyful attitude to the office each day.

In November 2011, Felicia received national recognition for

professional excellence by becoming a Certified Paraoptometric

(CPO). She joined an elite group of only 6,000 certified

paraoptometrics in the nation. Her title of CPO was earned by proving

her level of knowledge in optometric practice areas such as eye

anatomy, eye examinations, refractive

status, ophthalmic prescriptions and dispensing, contact

lenses, eye disorders and terminology. She also had to meet the

requirements of previous eye care work experience and will attain

continuing professional development training to maintain her

certification. The paraoptometric certification program was developed

by a respected panel of American Optometric Association members

and is recognized worldwide. It creates a formal declaration of

education, competence and skill achievement for staff members that

assist a doctor of optometry in delivering quality patient care.

In August 2012, Felicia became a certifed Transition Lens

Ambassador after demonstrating an outstanding committent to

continuing training.


Krista has never stopped smiling since the day she started

working for Belill Eye Care in 2010. Her duties include assisting Dr.

Belill by performing various diagnostic tests as well as coordinating

insurance billing matters. In November 2011, Krista received national

recognition for professional excellence by becoming a Certified

certified paraoptometrics in the nation. Her title of CPO was earned

by proving her level of knowledge in optometric practice areas such

as eye anatomy, eye examinations, refractive status, ophthalmic

Kristen 2012

Kristen began working for Belill Eye Care in 2012. She brings a warm

personality and a strong work ethic from her previous customer

service positions in other industries. She has already developed a

passion for raising awareness with parents about the vital importance

of taking their children for preventative eye exams with Dr. Belill

before they start school. She is focused on intensive training to learn

more about ocular anatomy, visual disorders, and office procedures.

Kristen joined the rest of the staff by receiving her certfication as a

paraoptometric (CPO) in March 2013.

 

Anne

Anne began working for Belill Eye Care in 2011 as a front desk

coordinator. She has years of customer service experience and finds

the eyecare profession to be exciting. She displays a very friendly

demeanor at all times, while helping to maintain efficient patient

care. Besides managing the daily appointment schedule, she is also in

charge of triage for emergency calls. She will commonly be the first

person to greet you upon arrival and be the last person to tell you
